Alam (1951) has reported the presence of a second tentorio-premental muscle that arises anteriorly from the tentorium and inserts in the middle of the lateral margin of the prementum in Stenobracon. This muscle was not reported from any other Hymenoptera taxa.

The ventral premental adductors arise on the anterior tentorial arms and insert on the proximolateral corners of the ventral part of the prementum.
