Based on the position relative to the rest of the gonostipes (dorsomedian, widened part of the gonostipes) the dorsal lamina equivivalent to the parapenis. Site of origin of the dorsal gonostipo-penisvalval muscle should be determined in Chalcidoidea for strengthening the equivalency.
