The male genitalia muscle that arises proximally from the ventral part of the gonostipes and inserts on the volsella at the border between the gono- and parossiculi.

The site of insertion of the muscle is hard to be identified, the muscle seemingly inserts both o the distal apex of the parossiculus and proximal apex of the gonossiculus. In some nonapocritan Hymenoptera the muscle inserts on the distivolsellar apodeme and in Ceraphronoidea on the proximal part of the gonossiculus.
